a) Your rights

3 Col­lec­tion of per­son­al data when vis­it­ing our web­site

Use of the Broth­er Myze plat­form

 

• (1) If you wish to use our portal, you must request an account from Brother in Emmerich (see above). After verification, this will then be created. For this purpose, the billing address as well as the e-mail address and a self-selected password are required. We use the so-called double-opt-in procedure for registration, i.e., your registration is only completed if you have previously confirmed your registration via a confirmation e-mail sent to you for this purpose by clicking on the link contained therein. If your confirmation is not received within 72 hours, your registration will be automatically deleted from our database. The provision of the aforementioned data is mandatory, all other information can be provided voluntarily by using our portal.

 

• (2) If you use our portal, we store your data required for the fulfilment of the contract until you finally delete your access. Furthermore, we store the voluntary data provided by you for the time of your use of the portal, unless you delete it beforehand. You can manage and change all data in the protected customer area. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. (f) GDPR.

 

• (3) We process data of portal user customers on the basis of order processing according to Art. 28 GDPR.

 

Requests and Use of the Contact Form

 

(1) If you make an inquiry on our website or contact us via the contact form, we use the services of our data processor, Zoho Corporation GmbH, Trinkausstr. 7, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany. Further information on Zoho’s data protection can be found at https://www.zoho.com/de/privacy.html. Only data centers in Europe are used.

 

Web an­a­lyt­ics

 

• (1) We use the web analysis service Matomo for user analysis of our website. No cookies are set for this purpose. The processing of the data is our own responsibility. Third parties do not have access to this data. If you do not agree to the storage and analysis of this data from your visit, you can object to its storage and use at any time by clicking on the following link. In this case, a socalled opt-out cookie will be placed in your browser, which means that Matomo will not collect any session data. As a rule, no further personal data is processed by us when you leave our website.

7 Our LinkedIn Services

We, together with LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as the “Platform Operator,” are jointly responsible.

We process your personal data, such as your first and last name, email address, and IP address, etc., only if there is a legal basis for doing so. For more details on the processing by the Platform Operator, please refer to the Platform Operator’s privacy policy.

In accordance with the requirements of the GDPR, we have entered into a contract with the Platform Operator to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and to provide the necessary protection for your data.

We store all personal data that you transmit to us only as long as it is needed to fulfill the purposes for which you transmitted this data to us, or as long as it is required by law. This platform uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as the inquiries you send to us or the Platform Operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “https://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. There is no separate indication within apps that SSL encryption is in place. When SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

When you access the Platform Operator’s site, information is automatically sent to the Platform Operator’s server by the browser or app used on your end device. This information is temporarily stored by the Platform Operator in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:

We do not collect any personal data about you in this process. However, it is possible to obtain pseudonymized data in the form of statistics over a certain period about the users of our site. The software for analyzing user statistics is usually provided by the Platform Operator itself, but in some cases, third-party software (e.g., Google Analytics) may also be integrated. In this process, data about the users of the site may be collected, such as age, gender, country of origin, browser used, and interests.

However, this data is always pseudonymized, and it is not possible for us to make statements about individual users based on this data alone.
